Senior Spotlight with Moore Swimmer Christian Davis – Presented by Eskridge

An accomplishment Christian Davis, a Moore High School swimmer, is proud of is when his club team, the Sooner Swim Club, qualified for state this past summer.

“I am hoping to do the same with my high school team this coming February,” said Moore, who is a senior for the Lions this year. “Consistency is key. Discipline, leadership, and success” are virtues Davis said his sport has taught him. 

He looks up to his high school swim coach, Landon Adamo. 

“He swam in high school and college and demonstrates what being a leader is all about,” Davis said. “He has helped me to develop my own leadership qualities and has taught me how to be even more disciplined.”

A teammate Davis speaks highly of is junior Maddox McHenry. 

“He attends the high school practices for all the Moore High schools and not just our high school. He works hard,” he said. 

Tristica Stanley, who taught him art as a sophomore, is his favorite teacher. 

“She always cared enough to help me improve my mistakes.”

When it comes to a role model swimmer, Davis likes Jordan Crooks, who swam for the University of Tennessee. 

“He was also a finalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics and set a world record in the 50 free (freestyle),” he said. 

What Davis likes about representing Moore in the pool is “I get to showcase my skills and talents that hopefully will motivate and inspire others to work really hard in their own sports or activities,” he said. 

Reading and exercising are two things he spends his time with when not swimming.

“I want to say thank you to my mom and dad,” Davis said. “They continue to encourage me and support me throughout my swim career. I also want to thank my high school swim coach, Landon Adamo. He has been the best swim coach I have ever had. He leads by example and has really helped push me to get out of my comfort zone.”
