Moore enters year two under head coach Cameron Bennett believing it has the experience and front-line talent to make a real push in 2026. The Lions finished 4-6 in 2025, but they bring back eight starters on each side of the ball and feature proven playmakers at running back, receiver and across the front seven. Bennett and a large staff are counting on that continuity, plus another offseason in the system, to help Moore close the gap in one of the state’s toughest classes. With a schedule that again pits them against quality competition, the Lions will have every opportunity to show they are ready to climb.
On offense, Moore’s strength starts with senior running back Ozias Adams (5-9, 180), who rushed for 1,000 yards at 6.63 yards per carry and scored eight touchdowns last season. He gives the Lions a reliable workhorse who can handle volume and create explosives between the tackles or on the edge. Senior multipurpose threat Landis Greene (5-9, 160) adds versatility after producing 100 rushing yards, 470 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown, making him a danger from anywhere on the field. Up front, senior lineman Brady Prestridge (6-2, 250) anchors a line that returns most of its starters and will be critical to both the run and pass game. With eight offensive starters back and that combination of a 1,000-yard rusher, a dynamic hybrid weapon and a seasoned line, Moore has the pieces to be far more explosive and efficient in 2026.
Defensively, the Lions mirror that experience with eight starters returning and a front seven that should be a strength. Senior defensive lineman Braylan Herron (6-0, 250) logged 54 tackles and three sacks, bringing size and physicality up front. Senior hybrid defender Seantawquad McCray (6-2, 230) adds another disruptive presence with 56 tackles and 6.5 sacks as a DL/LB, giving Moore a proven pass rusher and edge-setter. Senior linebacker/defensive back Robert Nixon Jr. (6-3, 185) tallied 84 tackles and provides range and length in space, while senior linebacker Andrew Eagle (5-11, 190) led the defense with 98 tackles, plus an interception and a touchdown. With that group back and the cushion of offensive experience, Moore believes it is positioned to take a noticeable step forward, turning last year’s competitive flashes into more consistent results in 2026.
