Moore’s Chance Younger

“Always play like a coach is watching.” That is some advice Moore sophomore basketball player Chance Younger said has taken to heart and uses to his advantage when he is in action, after all, you never know door it can lead to, like college scholarships, and NBA careers.
Basketball is the only sport he puts his time into at Moore. What Younger has learned from the game is “to be a leader and have a great attitude,” he said.
Just playing in his first basketball game is what he considers his favorite accomplishment.
His road to success on the hardwood has been inspired by his parents, “because they push me to be the person I am,” Younger said.
Teammate Tristian Hankins is someone Younger likes to work with, “because he taught me a lot during his freshman year,” he said.
His favorite teacher is from last year, “My freshman Spanish teacher, because she pushed me to be the best,” Younger said.
Younger is also involved with leadership groups at Moore High School, saying, “It’s an accomplishment,” to represent the Lions when he puts on his red and blue uniform for Moore.
His favorite NBA team is the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he likes the legendary Russell Westbrook, who once played for the Thunder but is now with the Sacramento Kings, as his favorite player in the league.
“I thank my parents and my siblings, and my Memaw [grandmother] for the way they push me and keep me in check,” he said.
