Football
It was a tough road in the playoffs this season for all three Moore Public Schools. The Moore Lions finished the season with a record of 6-5. The Lions faced Norman North in the first rounds of the playoffs and went down 19-30 to the Timberwolves. Southmoore’s fate was similar. The Sabercats were knocked out of the playoffs by Putnam City North, 0-21. Southmoore finished the season 4-7. Westmoore’s season came to an end against Norman, 28-68, finishing the year 2-9.
Basketball
The Lady Cats of Southmoore are ready for the season to get underway. Two VYPE Top 100 players in Sabrina Hernandez and Lexi Thompkins are leading the way for the girls team. The boys team features Kolton Brammer and Tyson Pogi.Westmoore will feature Grant Loper this season. A player who can finish at the rim and is nearly impossible to stop. Also look for 6-foot-5 wingman Ivan Antwi-Donkor. The Lady
Jags feature Kyiah Prestridge and Dadreanna Frost. Westmoore and Southmoore face off on January 30th.
Wrestling
It should be an exciting year on the mat. Moore returns state runner-up Chase Graham who is one of the favorites to make the podium again this season. No change in the standings. Moore still leads as we enter the winter sports season. Keep checking for updates as basketball, swimming and wrestling get underway.
