Moises Perez will suit up and represent Moore High School for the final time this season as the senior will take his talents to the next level this fall.
Head coach Sheldon Spelman said of Perez, “Moises Perez, a senior, who is on all of our competitions radar, is very talented and technically gifted, can play as a deep lying midfielder or in more attacking positions. He like Oscar Sanchez, is being recruited by several colleges.”
We asked the senior to pause before the new season started to give us his thoughts on being a Moore Lion.
VYPE: Moises, what will you remember most about being a Moore Lion?
Perez: The thing I will remember most about my time in high school is my sophomore year when I played soccer with all my childhood friends.
VYPE: What is the first thing you will do after you graduate?
Perez: The first thing I will do when I graduate is take a vacation to Mexico.
VYPE: Did you have a favorite teacher as a student-athlete or in any grade prior to high school?
Perez: My favorite teacher was Mrs. Maxfield in sixth grade, because she pushed me to be the best person I could be and took time to teach me as best as she could.
VYPE: What is your message to the underclassmen at Moore?
Perez: My message to the underclassmen is to have fun in high school because you will remember it forever.
VYPE: Moises, this is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Perez: I would like to shoutout my mom and dad for always working hard and providing me with everything I have today.
