

Moore High School’s Hoyce Ayer is only a freshman, but he has the potential to be one of the top players in the state. Head coach Sheldon Spelman speaks highly of the freshman phenom.
“Hoyce Ayer is only a freshman and has the potential to lead the state in goals. He is the real deal with serious ambition to match,” said coach Spelman.
Running down Hoyce wasn’t easy, but we did catch up to the future of Moore soccer to learn more about what makes this player go.
VYPE: Hoyce, how long have you played soccer at a competitive level?
Ayer: I’ve been playing soccer for 12 years.
VYPE: What do your teammates at Moore High School mean to you?
Ayer: My teammates mean a lot to me. I wouldn’t be here without them. they help me through a lot.
VYPE: What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at Moore?
Ayer: Getting to play with kids older than me.
VYPE: When you’re not playing soccer, what do you enjoy doing?
Ayer: I like to listen to music or help my parents out. I also like to practice soccer in my backyard.
