Coach: Brent Hodges
20-21 Record: 17-9
After going through growing pains last year, the Moore Lady Lions return quite a few players and should have plenty of talent to compete in 6A. “We are a young group with a lot of talent,” says Moore head coach Brent Hodges. “We are group that will grow as a team as the year goes on. We are going to be a group that plays team basketball on both ends of the floor.” Guard Madeline Bills (5-10, Jr.) will lead Moore on the floor. She averaged 10.2 points per game as a sophomore and that number is expected to go up this year. “Madeline is a dynamic guard who can score at every level and defend several positions.” Another experienced player for the Lady Lions is Bre Huffman (5-10, Sr.) She is a two-year starter for Moore that averaged 8.1 points per game last year. Brooklyn Heywood (5-5, Sr.) is an experienced guard that averaged 5.0 assists per game last season. Kayla Jones (6-1, Jr.) is an underrated post player who averaged 9.8 rebounds per game. One underclassman Hodges is expecting big things from is Libby Jaques (5-11, Fr.). “Libby is one of the toughest competitors I’ve coached, and she will be a force in the lane,” says Hodges. Other players expected to contribute for Moore are Albony Bryles (5-5, Jr.), All McDougal (5-11, Jr.), Nivy Chibitty (5-8, Jr.), and Zariayah Sim (6-2, Fr.).
