VYPE: What grade are you in and when did you start playing football? What position do you play now?
Ozias Adams: I’m going into my junior year and started playing football when I was six. I currently play running back.
VYPE: What makes Moore a great place to play football?
OA: Moore is a great place to play football because of its supportive community, including teachers, principals, students, and my amazing coaching staff who show us love, support, and respect.
VYPE: What moment stands out to you the most during your time as a football player?
OA: Every moment stands out to me because I am thankful to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with the abilities to play football.
VYPE: How do you mentally prepare for a game?
OA: I mentally prepare for a game by staying focused from Monday through Thursday, I give everything I have during practice to be successful in the game.
VYPE: What other clubs or groups are you involved in at school?
OA: I am involved in STUCO as a senator and serve as a FUSE mentor, helping freshmen utilize senior experience.
VYPE: What is something that the scoreboard will never reflect about you or your team?
OA: The scoreboard will never reflect the effort and determination my team and I put in, as we always give 400 percent.
VYPE: What has changed most about how you approach the game since your very first season?
OA: Although players and coaching staff have changed, my approach to the game has remained consistent, focusing on health and improvement.
VYPE: What was the biggest risk you’ve taken as a player and was it worth it?
OA: The biggest risk I’ve taken was trying to jump a route, which resulted in the receiver scoring a touchdown. It was a learning experience.
VYPE: How do you define mental toughness, and when was the last time you really had to dig for it?
OA: I define mental toughness as the willingness to do whatever it takes to win, and I demonstrate this by giving everything I have every day.
