Moore High School student, Quinn Do, is a junior and a highly involved student-athlete. He plays soccer for the high school in the right back position. But he doesn’t stop at athletics, he is also a member of the National Honor Society, student council, Moore Love Club, and will be a junior escort at the end of this year.
For Quinn playing soccer isn’t just about getting to spend time with his friends, which is a great added bonus for him.
“Sports allow me to escape the world that is around me and not stress about anything as well,” said Quinn.
When asked about his favorite memory in soccer Quinn couldn’t pick one because so many of them are great for him.
“I do, however, cherish every moment that I am playing soccer because I love the game and I am also around my friends,” Quinn said.
When you are an athlete and active student you have to learn to balance work and play.
“Instead of procrastinating I try to do important things first and do less important things later,” Quinn said. “I plan out what assignments I need to do each day, but I also make sure that I leave enough free time for myself to do things that are not stressful.”
When you are as busy as Quinn staying motivated is an important part of daily life.
“When times get tough, I motivate myself by thinking about what I hope to achieve in the future by accomplishing whatever task that I am doing,” said Quinn. “By doing this I can push myself to keep going even though I do not want to; I know that if I work hard, then I can achieve whatever I want.”
Even though Quinn is a junior he is already set on a career. After high school Quinn plans on attending college, most likely somewhere in Oklahoma, then onto med school to become a doctor.
“Right now, I want to become an orthopedic surgeon, but this may change in the next few years,” said Quinn.
